Map shows Lake Tahoe and the forest lands west and north of the lake. Numerous opportunities at Lake Tahoe for camping, hiking, mountain biking, scenic driving, boating, swimming, watersports, and fishing. From Truckee explore the forest roads, head to any of the other smaller forest lakes, scenic drive to Donner Pass, use your OHV at several designated areas, hike/backpack or horseback ride in Granite Chief or Desolation Wildernesses, or hike on the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. National Forest maps include topographic information(no contour lines), hiking trails, service roads, water features, campgrounds, other recreation sites, points of interest, regulations, and contact information if you need permits or additional information before you head for the great outdoors in the area west of Lake Tahoe. The map includes information about motorized off-road travel (ATVs, motorcycles, etc.) Map is useful for CA Deer Hunting Units D3, D4, 7a, and 7b. Now on tear proof, water resistant paper. 2013

Map shows mostly Tahoe National Forest lands, northwest part of Lake Tahoe, and the Iowa Hill BLM land west of Sugar Pine Reservoir. Explore the national forest north, west, and south of Truckee; opportunities for camping, hiking, boating and fishing at reservoirs, and OHV use east of Sugar Pine Reservoir. Boating, fishing, and camping at several campgrounds along Lake Tahoe western shoreline; some also have hiking and mountain biking trails. A section of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail passes north to south with access west of Donner Lake. Official Bureau of Land Management metric topographic map @1:100,000 scale (roughly 3/4"=1 mile), color-coded to show surface management, i.e. agency vs. private or tribal ownership. Map shows roads, water features, recreation sites, points of interest, and the township and range lines. Maps show trails and developed recreation areas such as campgrounds. Use this map for Deer Hunting in Units D3, D4, X7a and X7b. 2014

Each recreation guide page gives suggestions for campgrounds/RV parks, hiking trails, beaches, ocean or river fishing sites, natural or historic attractions, and museums. Benchmark maps are maps for the true public lands lover. The California Road & Recreation Atlas now has 14 pages of all-new Landscape "Metro Maps" of the four largest urban areas of the state: Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Sacramento. The enlarged scale (1" = 2.5 miles or 1:157,000) shows even more recreation detail than before. New features of the twenty-eight page Recreation Guide now include climate graphs, eight-classes of public lands ownership, shaded relief and point-to-point mileages.
